Staff at Romford’s Co-operative Funeralcare branch made �108 for Macmillan Cancer Care.
The cash was raised during the charity’s “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” event on September 28, during which organisations across the country signed up to hold coffee mornings where donations would go straight to Macmillan.
The funeral shop, on North Street, held a raffle during its coffee morning, with prizes from local shops including North Street Sweet Shop and Simply Tanning.
Lesley Skelton and Michelle Dulieu of the shop said they were grateful to everyone who came to the event or donated gifts for the raffle.
