The festive season is getting into full swing in Havering with trees, elves and even Father Christmas dropping by to celebrate.
Upminster held its light switch on celebration on Thursday. The event saw children follow treasure trails in the hope of winning a Christmas elf hat. Fun fair rides, entertainers, circus skills and a visit from Father Christmas also helped to entertain.
On Friday it was Rainham’s turn to celebrate with carols around the Christmas tree.
On Saturday Elm Park’s Christmas tree was lit up. The mayor of Havering, Cllr Linda Trew, was there to press the button along with characters from Frozen.
Entertainment was provided by school and church choirs, Hornchurch Drum and Trumpet and the Dance Group.
