Romford MP Andrew Rosindell celebrated the historic flying of the flags for the first time last week in Parliament Square.
The flags of the British Overseas Territories and Crown Dependencies were flown to mark the state visit of the President of Indonesia on Thursday.
The government will be flying the flags for every state visit in the future and for Trooping the Colour.
Mr Rosindell has campaigned to give them recognition and it was supported by the Overseas Territories All Party Parliamentary Group and the Flags and Heraldry All Party Parliamentary Group, both of which he is the chairman.
