Romford MP Andrew Rosindell was put through his paces when he visited an army training camp in Canada.
Mr Rosindell met soldiers at the British Army Training Unit Suffield (Batus) as a member of the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme earlier this month. The unit readies troops for service in Afghanistan with what Mr Rosindell described as “intense training and real life experiences”.
He added: “Batus is now the location for intense training for members of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces who spend time preparing themselves for duty in Afghanistan, dealing with some of the most dangerous situations a soldier could ever have to face in the world today – and I was there to see it all at first hand.”
