Romford marked Autism Sunday with a special service.
Hundreds of people turned up for the event held at St Alban’s Church in King’s Road, Romford on Sunday February 10.
Ivan Corea, founder of Autism Sunday said: “It was a wonderful event.
“It was nice to see so many people turning up to celebrate the day.”
The service was led by Reverend Father Roderick Hingley, Vicar of St Alban’s Church and included music from X Factor’s 2009 finalist Scott James.
Other highlights of the event included music from the Frances Bardsley School Choir and a talk from best selling author the Reverend Martin Lloyd Williams, author of Beauty and Brokenness.
Youngsters also took part in an art workshop, while the service was taking place.
The event, which was attended by Havering Cllr Lynden Thorpe was organised by Ivan and the Romford Autistic Support Group (RAGS).
