Romford man named as passenger who died in East Yorkshire helicopter crash

The passenger in a helicopter that crashed off the coast of East Yorkshire on Tuesday has been named as John Kent, of Romford.

Police have said the 50-year-old died alongside the pilot, captain, Brian Bridgman, 58, from Canterbury, Kent, when the helicopter crashed into the coast of Flamborough.

The Bell JetRanger had been flying from West Lothian to Nottinghamshire when it fell into the sea at about 1.40pm.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has started an investigation into the incident.

Humberside Police continue to work alongside the AAIB and are offering support to the families of the deceased men.
