A 33-year-old man has been charged with drink driving following a car crash with an ambulance in Romford.

Petras Puzonas from Jutsums Lane, Romford was charged on Wednesday, November 14 with driving while above the alcohol limit and dangerous driving.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) to reports of a car crash in London Road, near the junction with St Andrew’s Road on Tuesday, November 13 at 11.50pm.

An ambulance driver and a passenger were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Mr Puzonas was bailed to return to appear at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court in mid December.
