A man from Romford has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a three vehicle collision which happened on New Year’s Day in Brentwood.

A black Vauxhall Astra and two motorcycles were involved in a collision on Nags Head Lane at 2.40pm on Monday.

Both riders, men aged in their 20s, have been left with life changing injuries and one remains in a life threatening condition in hospital.

The 26-year-old man from Romford has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has been released on bail until January 24 while enquiries continue.
