A ROMFORD man has been charged with the murder of a 14-month old baby.
Doctors at an east London hospital contacted police at around 2pm on Thursday, (January 6) after the boy, who had been brought in earlier that day, died.
A postmortem examination took place at Great Ormond Street Hospital on Saturday (January 8) and gave the cause of death as blunt trauma injury to the abdomen.
Detectives from the Child Abuse Investigation Team are investigating.
Nathan Allen, 26, of Erith Crescent, will appear before Havering Magistrates’ Court, in main Road, Romford, this morning (Monday January 10).
