Two women from a Romford funeral director’s are collecting Easter eggs for children of vulnerable families.

Michelle Dulieu and Lesley Skelton, of Co-operative Funeralcare in North Street, are supporting anti-domestic violence campaign group Women’s Aid.

The eggs will be given to children staying in safe houses.

So far the pair have 30 eggs and they hope to receive many more from the public.

Michelle said: “We always get support from Tesco’s and Morrisons but we are hoping for local support for a local charity to help children over Easter. It is really appreciated by Women’s Aid.”

To donate eggs, take them into Co-operative Funeralcare at 148 North Street.
