Romford crash victim was five-year-old boy

A five-year-old boy was taken to hospital as a priority after being hit by a car yesterday.

Police and ambulance crews were called to North Street, Romford, at about 3.30pm and the child was taken to the Royal London Hospital.

His injuries are not said to be life threatening or life changing.

No arrests have been made.

It was the second accident involving a car and a pedestrian yesterday, after a girl was hit in Main Road, Gidea Park. She was also taken to the Royal London Hospital.
