A charity concert is set to hit the right note with audiences next week when it welcomes the talented London North East Fellowship Band to the stage.

The Variety Concert, organised by the Romford Friendship Club, will see the band performing under bandmaster Ken Hillson at the Queen’s Theatre in Hornchurch.

Also performing will be singer William Byrne, who has performed in front of Prince Charles and toured with the Jesus Christ Superstar stage show.

He will be joined by musician David Stanley, a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Royal Academy of Music. David specialises in the music of George Gershwin and is also a music teacher at Eastwood Special School in Southend.

The concert kicks off at 2pm on Wednesday September 7 with all money raised going towards charities Help for Heroes and the Salvation Army in Romania.
