A Romford care home was recently honoured as one of the town’s best businesses at a ceremony held at the House of Commons.

Andrew Rossindell, MP for Romford, presented Rodney Key, director of Ebury Court Ebury Court Residential Care Home and Beverley Manzar, manager, with a commemorative diploma for winning a 2012 Romford Business Award.

Founded in 1981, the home, in Rush Green Road, is independently owned and is currently one of only 36 care homes in the UK to hold the Gold Standard Framework Award for end of life care at the very highest level of Beacon status.

Mr Key said: “We were delighted to have been won this award as it reflects the hard work and effort we put into providing exceptional care for all of our residents. It’s very pleasing to be recognised locally and to be honoured by our local member of Parliament at the House of Commons was very special indeed.”

Ebury Court is home to 39 residents.
