A man has been taken to hospital following a crash in Mawney Road this afternoon.

Police officers were called at 3.50pm to reports of a collision in Mawney Road on Wednesday, October 24.

A Met Police spokeswoman said that two vehicles were involved in the crash and one passenger had been taken to hospital for assessment.

A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman added: “We sent an ambulance crew to the scene. We treated a person and took them as a priority to hospital.”

Drivers are told to expect delays in the area as the junction between the A12 Eastern Avenue and Mawney Road has been blocked.

Traffic can only travel east or west along the A12.
