Romford manager Paul Martin is hoping to make it three Ryman One North wins in a row when his team host Needham Market tomorrow (Saturday).

Boro enjoyed away wins at Redbridge and Waltham Abbey this week, netting seven goals without reply.

And Martin would love to maintain that momentum back at Ship Lane.

He said: “I’d love to make it three games on the spin but Needham Market have got really good away form and we’ve got really poor form at home.

“It’s going to be all to play for. Going in there on the back of two good wins is going to give us confidence and I’m sure we’ll go into it very positive.”

Boro are currently 13th in the table, level on points with Market but with a game in hand.

And Martin hopes they can get the win to leapfrog above their rivals, adding: “We’ll be going in with about 80-90 per cent confidence.

“We’ll have to make sure that we concentrate for the whole game. The back line has been solid lately and they’ll have to be again and hopefully we can get the three points and enjoy Saturday night.”

Romford will be without midfielder Michael Sammut, but Martin has made additions to his squad recently and has options.

He added: “Michael got a bruised instep which is making it hard to run. We think he might have to miss 10 days or about three games. We’ve known about it since the Redbridge game but we had to play him because of injuries and suspensions.

“We’re going to have two or three players back for selection, including Paul Clayton who will be back from suspension.

“But we’re coming off the back of two wins now so there’s going to be some healthy competition for places in the starting 11.”

Martin has added Tyler Christian-Law, Jeffery Campbell, Aime Blessing and Kieran English to his ranks in recent weeks and is grateful for that extra depth as he prepares for a busy month.

He said: “We’ve got nine games in 31 days which is a lot, so we’re going to have to use the squad to keep the legs fresh and ask some of the boys if they’re ok to play or whether they’d like a games rest.

“We’re quite fortunate that we’ve got that depth in the squad at the moment and hopefully we can use it to our advantage against teams without that depth to take points off them in the later stages of the season.”
