Popular ska and disco bands from the 1970s and 1980s are among those who will rock the main stage at this year’s Havering Show.

The stage will be hosted by east London and Essex radio station Time 107.5FM.

Station manager, Lorna Waters, said: “We are super excited to host the stage again this year.

“The event is such a great occasion and also a fantastic showcase for new talent.

“As a local radio station supporting local acts is really important for us.

“One to watch this year is Aaron Floyd. He is with us on Monday and is a young guy with a huge talent, defiantly a star in the making – but then they all are.”

After the huge success of last year’s show, this year’s headliners have been revealed as popular 1980s ska Band Bad Manners and disco act Boney M.

Other acts to take to the stage will include Britain’s Got Talent star James Smith, Sweetchix and Aaron Floyd.

Along with a fantastic line-up of great performers the station is promising to bring all the fun they have on air daily, live to the town show stage.

In between acts, Time FM presenters including the Breakfast Show’s Neil Andrews, programme controller, Mark Dover, and newsreader, Charlotte Sullivan, will be bringing on-air features to life and giving audience members the chance to win some incredible prizes.

Live games and competitions will give the show’s visitors the chance to win fantastic prizes including shopping vouchers for the Liberty Shopping Centre, a VIP night out in Romford courtesy of Kosho Bar and Circuit Nightclub, tickets to shows at The Brookside Theatre and the Recorder’s prize of passes to Colchester Zoo.

The annual show takes place in Harrow Lodge Park on August 30 and 31.
