Neighbours in a Rise Park street came together for a socially distanced quiz in support of Saint Francis Hospice.
The cold and wet weather didn't stop people living in Isbell Gardens from gathering outside their homes to take part in the event, which raised more than £350.
It was organised by Tina and Mick Champness, who held a similar event during lockdown that proved popular enough for neighbours to request another one.
“I’m so glad we went ahead with the quiz as it turned out to be such a great day,” said Tina, who works at St Edward's Medical Centre in Romford.
“I feel so lucky to live in a community where people care about each other and I know the quiz gave people something to look forward to.
“It also showed us that even though it has been such a tough year with the Covid pandemic, it’s still possible to do something worthwhile to help people and charities."
