There was plenty of fun and laughter at a Tai Chi lesson at Havering Museum.

Members of the museum’s variety club had lessons on the Chinese martial art and sessions on chair exercise on Wednesday February 13 in High Street, Romford.

Brenda Patterson, who took part in the session said: “I thoroughly enjoyed myself and had such a laugh just watching some of the group.

“Other people should come along to our group because we always have such a good time.”

The club is for people over 50 who want to make new friends and have fun trying new things, while learning in a creative environment.

The group will also be learning about African drumming on March 7 and March 27

Ellen Owen, who runs the club said: “I have designed the programme so that people get to do things they wouldn’t normally get the opportunity to try, like African drumming and learning new skills like drawing.”
