A group of friends made 300 cakes for a charity bake sale.

Hannah Giles, Daisy Bentley, Olivia Kennedy and Hollie Le May, all 10, made the Comic Relief themed cakes with a little help from their mums for Red Nose Day.

They held the sale in Gidea Park Primary School on Friday and raised £205.

Hollie’s mum Clare said: “The four girls came up with the idea themselves because they wanted to do something for Red Nose Day after seeing One Direction’s song. They are big fans of the group so they wanted to help too. Everyone was really pleased with their effort and because they had used their initiative.”
