Children from a Rainham school raised £430 by wearing red to school today (Friday) to raise money for Comic Relief.

The pupils and staff from Parsonage Farm Primary School, in Farm Road, raised money through the non-uniform day and children were greeted with music and dancing teachers as they walked through the school gates in the morning.

Headteacher Pauline Beaton said: “The day has been fantastic. The children have really enjoyed it and have been lovely. They have been thinking about the meaning behind Red Nose Day and about raising money for those less fortunate than themselves.”
