Daggers midfielder will remain at Conference South outfit until New Year

Eastbourne Borough have announced that Frankie Raymond’s loan at Priory Lane has been extended until January 10.

The Dagenham & Redbridge youngster, who moved to Victoria Road in the summer for an undisclosed fee from Sports, joined his former club on an initial month’s loan on November 13.

The 22-year-old has made six appearances in the Conference South and FA Trophy since joining Tommy Widdrington’s squad and will now be available to play in six more matches over the hectic Christmas and New Year period.

The Eastbourne manager expressed his gratitude to Daggers’ boss Wayne Burnett when revealing Raymond’s loan extension to www.ebfc.co.uk.

“Both players have made a valuable contribution in the past month,” said Widdrington when discussing the Daggers midfielder and Gillingham loanee Josh Hare.

“With a very busy schedule ahead over the holiday period, we want to have the strongest possible squad available.

“Frankie’s qualities are well know to Borough supporters and he is a highly popular figure at Priory Lane.

“I am very grateful to Wayne Burnett at Dagenham & Redbridge, and to Gillingham manager Peter Taylor, for their help in making these loan agreements possible.”

Raymond has only made one appearance for Daggers, making his debut in the final minutes against Leyton Orient in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy in October.
