A woman has become the first homeowner in the UK to sell their property following a live-streaming viewing on Facebook Live.
Shanty Helim, of Alexandra Road, Rainham, hosted the innovative event on Thursday, June 22, providing viewers with a virtual tour of her home.
Shanty has now sold the property for £467,000, as a result of three offers that were made following the live broadcast.
She said: “I’m over the moon that my house has been sold for such a competitive price and so quickly.”
The sale for the three-bed semi-detached bungalow was organised by estate agents HouseSimple.
“Housesimple’s livestreaming service has made the sale of my home as simple and convenient as possible, and I would urge other homeowner sellers to go online as a way of saving time and money,” continued Shanty.
The bungalow was viewed by more than 20,000 people on the company’s Facebook page.
