The “devastated” owner of a missing family pet is appealing for help finding her four-month-old budgie.

Kavitha Niranjan, 33, of Edmund Road, Rainham, is asking for everyone to keep an eye out for Bobby the budgie after he flew off on Tuesday.

She said: “My husband was taking out the bins but as he left the door open, Bobby flew away and we haven’t seen him since.

“I’m devastated that he’s gone and really want him back.”

Bobby is a green budgie and is described as “very friendly.”

Kavitha said: “He feels at ease with humans so if you approach him, he won’t fly away.

“So if you do find him please get in touch.”

• If you have anymore information about Bobby, call Kavitha on 07930 959795.
