Rainham victim injured in drill attack

A young man was left with facial injuries after being bashed with a drill by thieves trying to steal his van.

The 21-year-old victim had parked in Upminster Road South, close to the junction of Cowper Road, Rainham, to visit a shop at around 6am, on Wednesday May 2.

He returned to find six Asian men, one with a drill, breaking into his van.

The victim, from Rainham, was injured in an ensuing struggle.
