Sanders Draper School pupils learnt about cyber bullying during a private performance from an up-and-coming pop band.

The concert by former theatre school students Ever Young was organised by cyber bullying charity the Cybersmile Foundation.

Cybersmile offers schoolchildren advice about handling online bullying. To get the message home, Ever Young – the charity’s ambassadors – gave pupils a private gig after the charity’s talk.

Community development officer Karen Grandison said: “The year 7 and 8 pupils were an exceptionally appreciative audience and asked for autographs at the end of the show.

“One of the year 8 girls in the audience said: ‘They’re amazing – they’re going to be huge!’.”
