Police have named the man who was killed in a crash on the A13 earlier this month.

Daniel Sellick was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident in Barking in the early hours of February 3.

The 27-year-old, from Rainham, was driving a Vauxhall Vectra westbound which crashed into a VW Passat minicab travelling eastbound on the Alfred’s Way flyover at Lodge Avenue junction.

Police are appealing for witnesses to help trace a young male moped rider who stopped and spoke with another witness following the collision which happened at about 2.20am.

He is described as south-east Asian in appearance and was believed to be riding a Vespa.

The man driving the minicab and his three passengers, who included a 13-year-old girl, were taken to an East London hospital where they remain with serious injuries.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or the events leading up to it, is asked to contact the witness line on 020 8597 4874.
