Appeal to trace man after passenger suffered life changing injuries following Romford car crash

Police are looking for a man who is believed to have been driving a stolen vehicle which collided with a stationary lorry in Romford.

David Leslie Hansen, 26, whose last known address was in Barking, is wanted on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, aggravated vehicle taking and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

He is believed to have been driving a stolen Ford Focus, with false plates which collided with a lorry on the A13 Wennington in Romford on Sunday, March 18.

As a result of the crash, the front seat passenger suffered life changing injuries.

Hansen is described as a white man, about 5ft 7in tall with short brown hair.

He is known to frequent the east London and Liverpool area.

Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police via 101 quoting reference 312/18 March.
