Detectives investigating a sexual assault at Rainham station have released CCTV images of a man who might have more information about the incident.

A woman in her late teens was at on a wall outside Rainham station when she was approached by an unknown man around 7.30pm on August 14.

The man initially asked the victim for directions but he then began hassling the victim, asking her for personal information and saying she was beautiful.

He then forcibly hugged and kissed the woman, holding onto her tightly. He also touched himself inappropriately in front of the victim.

This was a frightening experience for the victim who was left traumatised by this man’s invasive and inappropriate behaviour.

Officers believe the man shown in the CCTV image could help them with the investigation.
