A driver who was injured in a crash less than two weeks ago has died.

Police were alerted to the incident involving a Renault Scenic and a MAN truck in Warley Street, Great Warley, Brentwood, on Wednesday, February 24, at 6.50am, near the junction with the A127 Southend Arterial Road.

The Renault was travelling south towards Ockendon and the truck was travelling in the opposite direction.

The car driver, a 36-year-old man, from Southend, suffered multiple injuries and was taken to the Royal London Hospital, where he died last week.

Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses and are keen to trace a moped rider, who stopped at the scene but left before police arrived. He was travelling in the direction of Ockendon.
