Police appeal for witnesses after Hornchurch pedestrian struck by car suffers fractured skull

Detectives are appealing for information after a teenager suffered a fractured skull when he was struck by a car.
The incident occurred on Thursday, January 16 at about 11.40pm in Upper Rainham Road, at the junction with Laburnam Avenue in Hornchurch.
The 19-year-old pedestrian was with his friends at the time.
It is believed he was struck by a black Renault Megane with a registration beginning with an X - though the model of the car has not been confirmed.
After initially stopping, the driver did not get out of the car and drove off towards Rainham along Upper Rainham Road.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to contact police constable Sandy Adams from Romford Police Station on 101, quoting reference 117/17Jan14.
