Plans for a new visitor and education centre building in Hornchurch Country Park have been given the thumbs up.
The plans, in Squadrons Approach, included a single storey building and was recommended for approval by officers.
Five objection letters were received with concerns about the building being likely to be vandalised; it would encourage further loitering in the area and anti-social behaviour; causing further parking problems in Squadrons Approach; and the proposal being unnecessary.
The plans were approved at a regulatory services committee meeting at the town hall on Thursday.
