Pedestrian hit by car in North Street, Romford

A pedestrian has been hospitalised after being hit by a car in North Street, Romford.

Police described it as a “serious” collision after being called at 3.30pm and the pedestrian was taken to hospital.

It is the second accident involving a car and a pedestrian today, after a girl was hit in Main Road, Gidea Park, this morning. She is being treated at the Royal London Hospital.

There are delays due to the closure of North Street between The Avenue and St Edward’s Way and between the town centre and the A12.

Bus routes 66 103 175 247 294 365 375 are on diversion.
