Sainsbury’s staff welcomed a Paralympic athlete to Romford.

Seated shot and discus thrower Jonathan Adams made an appearance at the Brewery supermarket on Friday August 17, talking to workers about his journey to the Paralympics and his battle with Cerebral Palsy and visual impairment.

Store manager Lee Riley said: “It was truly inspirational to meet Jonathan Adams and Sainsbury’s will be supporting him throughout the 2012 games. He talked about battling with his condition and how he has been inspired by others to get where he is today. Jonathan’s motto is ‘Don’t just dream it – do it’, which is something that will stay with me forever. We wish him all the luck.”
