Children and parents had a flamin’ good time at Holy Cross Church in Hornchurch to celebrate the passing of the Torch on Sunday.
They enjoyed face painting, a bouncy slide, games and crafts, as well as hot drinks and homemade cakes, before gathering to watch the Olympic Relay go past, in Hornchurch Road.
A spokesman for the church said: “The atmosphere was amazing, to see the Torch up close was an experience we will never forget. Everyone really enjoyed the day.”
