Buses in Rainham will stop directly outside the railway station from this month.
A new interchange in the centre of Rainham will come into use on September 22, meaning the 103 (Chase Cross to Rainham) no longer terminates outside the war memorial but will carry on to a new road by the station, Celtic Farm Way.
Councillor Michael Armstrong, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Rainham Compass, said: “Having buses terminate at the station frees up the roads and will create much easier access to the rail network for local people.”
