A black tie fundraising ball will take place at the Millhouse Social Club in Dagenham on Valentine’s Day.

The event is in aid of the Mitchell Huth Memorial Fund, which was set up by Kristel Huth, of Hornchurch, after her son lost his battle against neuroblastoma in 2012 aged seven.

The evening will include sets from three comedians, a cold and hot buffet, disco and a raffle.

The winner of the “heads or tails” game will win a one-night stay in a deluxe double room at the five star Stafford London hotel.

Tracey Groom, who is helping organise the event, said: “We never put a target on what we want to raise because we don’t want to be disappointed but we are so grateful for whatever we receive on the night.

“Come and show your support for Mitchell’s legacy and enjoy fantastic entertainment and if you are single, come and mingle.”

Tickets cost £15 a head and available on the door or in advance by emailing Tracey - teammitchell@outlook.com
