Pet owners in the borough enjoyed a special charity dog walk in Dagnam Park to raise funds for the mayor’s charities.
Councillor Dilip Patel, the mayor of Havering held a charity dog walk around The Manor in Dagnam Park, on Sunday, August 12.
Lesley Haylett, who helped organise the event told the Recorder: “It was really good, everybody had a really good time.
“The Friends of Dagnam Park came and set up a stall with some information about the Manor and quite a few people said they hadn’t been walked around the Manor before.
All of the money raised will be split between the mayor’s charities, Lennox Children’s Cancer Fund, Havering Mind and the Rainbow Trust.
Councillor Jan Sargent who is also the assistant secretary of the Friends of Dagnam Park said it was, “a fantastic event”.
“The mayor and mayoress came over to see how beautiful Dagnam Park is and what a great asset it’s for Havering.”
