The managers of the Albion pub in Rainham beat more than 80 others nationwide to an award from the company that owns the inn.
Melvyn and Bernadette Isaacs of the Rainham Road pub, part of the Flaming Grill chain, won the “Flaming Grill General Manager of the Year” title at the Spirit Pub Company’s annual “Best Awards” ceremony in Birmingham.
The award was for increasing sales after the Albion got a 335,000 investment last year.
Melvyn, who won a 500 Red Letter Day voucher, said: “We’re over the moon that we’ve won the award. We always strive to deliver the best experience for our guests and work tirelessly with our team to ensure we’re all driving towards the same goals, and we’re thrilled the hard work has been recognised.”
Spirit boss Mike Tye said: “Melvyn and Bernadette have shown a key understanding of our values and made great contributions towards the success of the business, and it’s my privilege to personally thank them for their efforts.”
