Man taken to hospital after Romford town centre collision

A man has been taken to hospital after a collision in Romford town centre this afternoon.
Police, fire and ambulance services were called to the scene in Main Road, Romford.
A spokesman from London Fire Bridgade said that they received an emergency call at around 1.05pm today (Thursday, March 15) to a collision between two cars.
They said that one woman had been removed from a vehicle before the fire services arrived, and that they were currently removing a man from a car at the scene.
Two fire engines and one fire rescue unit was called to the incident.
A Met Police spokesman said that a male, believed to be 21-years-old, has been taken to an east London hospital and they are awaiting an update on his condition.
Road closures are in place and there have been no arrests.
