A 20-year-old driver had to be taken to hospital with a head injury after a collision with an ambulance on emergency call this morning.
London Ambulance crews attended where the man was taken as a priority to Queen’s Hospital in Rom Valley Way, Romford after the incident at around 5.45am on Wednesday August 31 in New Road, Rainham.
Around 20 firefighters were also called to the scene where they used specialist equipment to free the man from his car.
The ambulance crew involved in the smash was also checked on the scene by colleagues, but was not taken to hospital.
The A1306 was closed from 5.45am this morning and was reopened at around 9am to one lane.
