The Romford man who died after being hit by a train at Goodmayes station has been named as 35-year-old Sathiyamoorthy Balagopi.
The incident took place on Sunday, December 9, shortly after 1.15pm. Ambulance crews, Met Police and British Transport Police were called, but sadly Mr Balagopi was pronounced dead at the scene.
British Transport Police said the incident was being treated as non-suspicious.
The train involved was the 12.19pm Southend Victoria to London Liverpool Street service. The line was reopened at about 2.45pm the same day.
