Man in ‘critical’ condition after incident in North Street, Romford, this morning

A 30-year-old man is in “critical” condition after an incident in the early hours of the morning.
Police were called to reports of an injured man in North Street, Romford, at 12.28am.
Officers, London Ambulance Service and the London’s Air Ambulance attended.
The man at the scene had suffered a serious head injury.
He was taken to an east London hospital where his condition is “critical”, according to police.
A second man was also at the scene who had suffered facial injuries.
He was taken by the London Ambulance Service to a separate east London hospital where his condition is not life threatening.
The surrounding area has been cordoned off for officers from the East Area Command to investigate.
A police spokesman said: “Enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and the cause of the injuries sustained.”
