A road traffic accident has resulted in a man in his 90s being taken to hospital.

An ambulance crew attended the scene in Victoria Road, Romford, at the junction with Mercury Gardens, after being called just before 2pm.

It is believed the crew treated the elderly man for chest pains before taking him to Queen’s Hospital in Rom Valley Way, Romford.

Heavy traffic has now cleared at the junction.
