Man hands himself in following train assault on Hornchurch man

A man has handed himself in to British Transport Police following an assault on a train which left a Hornchurch man with a broken nose.

A 21-year-old man from Grimsby attended a police station today where he was arrested for causing actual bodily harm.

Officers are currently speaking to him and an update will be provided once the man has been dealt with.

A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: “We’d like to thank both the public and media for their overwhelming response to our appeal for information.”
