A 25-year-old man was found dead in the Romford train station toilets on Friday night.

British Transport Police (BTP) officers and paramedics were called to the South Street station just before 9.20pm after concerns were raised for a person’s welfare.

On arrival they found the man dead at the scene.

A BTP spokesman said the man’s family had been informed of his death, which is not being treated as suspicious.

A file will be prepared for the coroner.
