A motorcyclist has died after a crash outside of Havering College of Further and Higher Education in Ardleigh Green.

Police were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) at 5.23am this morning (Thursday, May 17) to reports of a road traffic collision in Ardleigh Green Road, Hornchurch, near the junction with Nelmes Way.

Officers and the LAS attended and found that a motorcyclist had crashed into a road sign.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, the male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene at 6.26am.

A blue tent is currently in place at the scene.

Police said that no further information has been released at this time and that enquiries continue.
