A MAN in his forties died yesterday after completing the Brentwood Half Marathon.
The man, from the Brentwood area, suffered from suspected cardiac arrest after crossing the finish line at around 11.50am, and was taken to Queen’s Hospital, Romford. He died two hours later.
Father James Mackay from Brentwood Cathedral, who had just completed the race himself, read him his last rites before he was taken to hospital.
