A man believed to be in his 20s has been taken to hospital after reportedly being attacked with a baseball bat.

Police were called to reports of a man assaulted in Cherry Tree Lane at around 2pm today (Wednesday, November 28).

The London Ambulance Service also attended the scene and a found a man suffering a head injury after reportedly being struck with a baseball bat.

Paramedics took him to hospital.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: “At this early stage it is not thought that his injuries are life threatening.

“Officers from the East Area Command Unit investigate.”

No arrests have been made.
