The other man who is suspected to have been involved in the fight ran away from police.

A man in his 40s was taken to hospital after being assaulted in Harold Hill.

Police were called to Newbury Gardens at around 4pm today (Monday, July 2) to reports of an assault - and a police cordon was put in place while the man was treated by paramedics at the scene.

The other man who is suspected to have been involved in the fight ran away from police.

The victim was then taken to hospital with facial injuries, that were described as being non life-threatening or life-changing.

Police said that there was no reports of any weapons being used.
