Three cars were involved in the crash at the mini-roundabout at the junction of Hilldene Avenue and Straight Road.

A man and woman were taken to hospital after a car crash in Harold Hill this afternoon (Tuesday, June 26).

Three cars were involved in the crash at the mini-roundabout at the junction of Hilldene Avenue and Straight Road.

Fire services and London Ambulance Service (LAS) were called to the scene.

Firefighters had to cut the roof off one of the cars to help the driver, who was then taken to hospital.

Fire engines from Harold Hill and Romford were at the scene, along with a rescue unit from Bethnal Green.

An LAS spokeswoman said that two ambulance crews an incident response officer and its hazardous area response team were sent to the scene.
